Residents have been having their say on their community, Council services and what they would like to see developed in their communities as part of a major public consultation exercise. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

As part of the Council’s continued and on-going approach to engaging with its residents and service users, it is going out into the community to listen and talk to a wide range of residents. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Councillor Linda Matthews, Cabinet Member for Improving Well-Being and Chair of the Social Services and Well-Being Board, said: “We are working with our public service partners and are going out into our communities in Cwm Taf – Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf – to find out what matters to people in relation to their health and well-being. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“We are doing this as part of two assessments – a Well-Being Assessment and a Population Needs Assessment – which are required under the Well-Being of Future Generations (Wales) Act and the Social Services and Well-Being (Wales) Act. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“The aim of both Acts is to improve the well-being of communities in Wales and we want to have positive conversations with the public to gather information to help us to plan and provide services in the future. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“You can let us know what matters to you by completing a survey online on the Cwm Taf Community Engagement Hub (www.cwmtafhub.com). You can also request a hard copy by phoning 01443 424136. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“The more responses we receive the better our understanding of our communities needs so please take a few minutes to complete this survey.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
