Certificate Of Excellence Awarded To Caerphilly County Borough Venues
A number of venues throughout Caerphilly county borough are celebrating after receiving a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for receiving fantastic visitor reviews on the popular travel site, TripAdvisor.
The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is awarded to venues who consistently receive positive traveller views on the TripAdvisor website. This year, Caerphilly county borough venues Llancaiach Fawr Manor, Winding House Museum, Cwmcarn Forest and The Visitor Centre – Caerphilly have all received the prestigious certificate.
With a very successful summer season, overall visitor numbers for 2016 visitor attractions look encouraging with nearly 100,000 people visiting Cwmcarn Forest between January and June 2016.
The Visitor Centre – Caerphilly has experienced its busiest year to date since opening in 1995. The centre has welcomed over 170,000 visitors this year, providing them with information on what to see and do in the area, as well as providing visitors and local residents with a selection of locally sourced refreshments and snacks.
Cllr Ken James, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Sustainable Development said: “I am thrilled that Llancaiach Fawr Manor, Winding House Museum, Cwmcarn Forest and the Visit Caerphilly Centre have all received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. This is testament to the fantastic service that is delivered throughout each venue by both staff and volunteers”.
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality and quantity of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12 month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
