Arrests Made Following Burglary In Wrexham

Four people are currently in police custody following an incident in the Wrexham area this morning (Saturday, January 21st). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

At 8:16am North Wales Police were called to a report of a burglary involving three men at an address on the High Street in Rhosllanerchrugog whereby a woman was threatened and money was stolen. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The three men left the area in a Volkswagen Golf car. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers were immediately deployed to the scene and a short while later the Golf was located by in the Queensway area of Caia Park. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A man was seen leaving the property on Queensway and officers then followed him. A taser was used on the man and he was taken to hospital by ambulance. The 26-year-old was later released and is now in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Three women have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the outstanding two males and officers will remain in the Rhosllanerchrugog and Caia Park areas to provide reassurance and conduct their investigation. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
