GCSE Results Show Overall Performance Across Conwy County Borough
Today’s GCSE results show overall performance across Conwy County Borough has increased and is above the average for Wales.
In Conwy’s schools, the overall pass rate this year (A* to G grades) is 98.9%, which is above the Wales average of 98.7%.
Cllr Wyn Jones, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Education said:
“Congratulations to Conwy’s students on their GCSE results, and a big thank you to all the teachers, parents and carers for supporting and encouraging our young people. Students across the county have performed well and GCSE overall pass rates have increased by 0.6% to 98.9%.
“We also celebrate the achievements of our students taking other examinations, including vocational courses and the Welsh Baccalaureate.
“I’d like to wish all our students the very best of luck as they move forward in their education, training and careers.”
